1.  Existing Building Analysis
You need to send Solar Solutions information about your home, including its location and the direction it faces, and a list of appliances and equipment that need energy.  We also will need a digital photograph of each side of your home that notes the direction it is facing.  This information will help us produce your home’s energy profile.
 
2.  Existing Energy Analysis
You need to send us the past 12 months of gas and electric utility bills for your home.  In conjunction with the list of appliances you will provide, Solar Solutions will use this information to analyze current energy use and determine base and peak loads of energy consumed.  This information also will aid in determining the energy profile of your home.
 
3.  Solar Light Analysis
From the information and photographs you provide about your home and its location, Solar Solutions will determine how much energy can be produced by a solar collector per month of the year, calculating maximum production to be achieved by the best angle for installation and direction it should face.
 
4.  System Recommendations
Based on the information gathered and analyzed in the proceeding steps, Solar Solutions will make a system recommendation for you that will include the size of equipment and best potential location.  We also will provide a schematic diagram of the installation.
 
5.  Investment Analysis
 Solar Solutions will provide you with an investment analysis based on the equipment recommendations we are making and labor rates prevailing in your local area.
 
6.  Existing versus Proposed Cost of Operation
Using your utility bills for the past 12 months, Solar Solutions will compile for you a comparison of the energy savings that would have been gained if the Solar Solutions’ recommended system had been providing energy for your home over the past year and calculate the return on investment you will receive.  We also will provide you with an analysis of the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions that will be achieved with use of the recommended system.
