Capturing Reusable and Recycled Energy

Every person, machine and electronic device produces heat that can be used by PSI to offset HVAC fuel requirements.

Heat produced by chillers and ovens can be recovered for domestic hot water production and HVAC.

Use of cogeneration for electricity, heat recovery and absorption chillers provides much more efficiency per BTU of fossil fuel because it boosts energy utilization from about 35% for electricity only to over 80% for combined heat and power.

Cogeneration also can provide an uninterruptible supply of DC power for lights, computers and motors at 15% better efficiency that AC.

Critical applications, such as server farms and security
systems, can be powered through cogeneration as well.

Recycled energy can substitute directly for fossil fuels in a hydronic system with building pressurization through coils in the air handling units.
